On my route to my boyfriend’s house, I always walk past a garden which houses a lovely big, red, tulip, which pokes through the garden fence onto the path. It always makes me happy, looking at it, and I think that’s because it reminds me of the lovely moist flower from which Thumbelina is born. Granted, that flower isn’t a tulip, but…y’know…the colours are reminiscent!
